Back on Louisiana I10, we decided to pass by Baton Rouge and visit the ‘Happiest City in America’ Lafayette, in the heart of Louisiana’s Cajun & Creole Country.

Lafayette has an incredible culinary scene, so many great restaurants featuring incredible chefs. We chose to have lunch at Cafè Vermillionville. The beautiful historic restaurant dates back to the 19th century. Although the menu boasts an incredible array of delicious Acadian dishes, we opted to keep it on the light side selecting classic Cafè Vermillionville’s Crawfish Beignets; crispy Louisiana crawfish & cheese fritters with creole mustard aioli and fried pickles. The dish did not disappoint.
